TECHNICAL AUDIO DEVELOPER:

We are currently seeking a talented Technical Audio Developer to join our team and help build both educational and entertainment content. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to handle technical and artistic issues during game development as well as be able to work quickly in a team atmosphere with schedules and reliable milestone delivery.

The applicant will be working on a variety of projects in-house with our dev teams, and should be excited and capable in cross-discipline situations. Previous experience working with, and integrating, sound into game engines such as Unity and Unreal is required. Ability to work with a DAW is necessary, as is some experience with other middleware programs such as FMOD or Wwise. Passion for audio design, SFX, VO recording/editing, and musical composition are crucial. Previous experience with creating and placing audio hooks, mixing and leveling audio, and working with game teams is preferred.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • SFX Design and Implementation
  • VO Recording/Editing and Implementation
  • Dynamic Music Implementation
  • Occasional Musical Composition
  • Communicating and Collaborating with Design and Engineering partners to facilitate iteration on audio
  • Meaningfully contributing to decisions and maintaining audio development best practices

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 Years of audio development experience preferred
  • Portfolio/Reel of work must be available for review
  • Familiarity with Unity and Unreal game engines
  • Proficiency with Wwise, FMOD, or other similar middleware
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Dialogue Implementation
  • Proficiency with Dynamic Music Integration
  • Proficient use of a DAW (Reaper preferred)
  • Basic Knowledge of Ambisonic Audio and Contemporary VR Mixing Practices
  • Basic Knowledge of Source Control (Perforce, SVN, Github)
  • Experience designing for various hardware systems and organizing signal flow

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • BS/BA/BFA degree in graphic design, fine arts, animation, visual communication, CS, or similar preferred
