Production Asset Technician (Technical Artist)

Help us gather, organize and distribute Guerrilla’s digital assets and manage asset requests across all of Guerrilla’s projects

Guerrilla is looking for a talented, organized, and motivated Production Asset Technician for a unique opportunity to work together with our talented teams at Guerrilla on exciting projects like Horizon Call of the Mountain or the announced Horizon Netflix show.

What You Will Do

As a Production Asset Technician at Guerrilla, we will look to you to:

• Work with our franchise team, internal asset teams and the studio asset art leads to organize, gather, check, package and provide our unique IP assets to our multiple external project partners.
• Be responsible for maintaining our established quality and artistic consistency between various projects and external partners.
• Be able to collaborate with an array of multidisciplinary departments and tailor the data sharing pipelines between them as required.
• Posses a firm understanding of industry standard performance oriented asset production pipelines, asset formats and project goals.
• Use multiple DCC packages, industry standard formats and scripting with both internal and DCC package-specific APIs to establish efficient department specific asset distribution pipelines.
• Ensure that these assets are used in the correct way.

Guerrilla's asset library contains a wide range of intellectual property assets. These assets need to be organized and converted from proprietary formats to industry standard formats, allowing them to be used in different software packages and game engines. This role requires experience in scripting, particularly Python, to automate the process. Collaboration with internal departments and external partners is essential to deliver assets on time and ensure their accurate recreation in other pipelines.

Who You are

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Has shipped one or more AAA titles as an Asset Artist or Outsource Artist preferred.
• Have an excellent understanding of Python scripting language to help with the automation of tasks.
• Have excellent foundation skills, including composition, design, and color theory.
• Use of Microsoft Office Suite and with a high understanding of documentation process in Confluence or equivalent.
• The ability to work with detailed concept art or reference art/materials and to find creative solutions for technically challenging tasks.
• A good understanding of:
  • Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter and Maya. Any additional DCC package is a plus.
  • Current-gen game engine limitations as it refers to memory, GPU and CPU performance.
  • ZBrush and high to low poly pipeline.
  • Source control via Perforce.
