Job Description:

As a Technical Artist you will be responsible for exporting and optimizing a wide range of game-ready static and animated assets for Dominoes-based games as well as providing technical support on the art pipeline optimization. You will be collaborating with the Product Art Director, Producer, Technical Lead and UI/UX Artists to set up and maintain workflow of art and tech production and help on transitioning and optimizing art assets for the game environment within the necessary time frames.

Responsibility and Duties:

  • Optimize game UI elements, backgrounds, animations and other art assets to match game specifications; be able to evaluate art assets from the technical point of view and provide recommendations on their optimization if necessary;
  • Help on assembling game-ready screens of different levels of complexity, using provided tools and assets;
  • Create tools that can help on the art pipeline optimization;
  • Brainstorm and partner with other team members as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Game Development, preferably on the Technical Artist position;
  • Experience with optimizing and exporting art assets for games;
  • Experience with developing tools that can help on the art pipeline optimization;
  • Strong understanding of vector and raster graphics and the best usage of each;
  • Understanding of technical constraints and best practices for mobile game development;
  • Experience with working with the collaborative design tools (Figma);
  • Fluent English (verbal and written);
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a strong team environment;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Knowledge of the game development process with ability to identify stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop;
  • Experience with using versioning control systems (github) and installing software using command prompt;
  • Experience with creating visual effects for games;
  • Experience with animating software (Spine);
  • BA/BS degree in Game Development, Design or correlated areas;
  • Resume written in English.
