We are Rayscape Games. An indie studio based in the UK creating games for the Oculus Quest 2 and PCVR Platforms.
We are looking for a skilled Technical Artist to help shape and expand our magical and mythical forgotten land, which players will explore in VR. The successful candidate should have a broad knowledge of the game development process - Including modelling, texturing, and animation fundementals. Experience with Unreal engine modules/systems such as: Blueprint, Material Editor and Gameplay API is also required. They should be aware of performance limitations for VR/ARM64 too.

Day-to-day tasks:
- Provide guidance to the art teams to create performant game art
- Integrate and set up content in the project
- R&D Complex game art, gameplay features and VFX systems
- Troubleshoot and address performance bottlenecks in the game
- Work on new workflows and pipeline improvements
- Develop tools for level designers to increase productivity
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in game development
- Excellent knowledge of art content pipelines, including: 3dsmax/Maya/Blender, Substance, ZBrush
- Excellent knowledge of unreal editor systems, including: Blueprint, Material Editor, Sequencer
- Experience creating editor scripts and gameplay features using Python/C++
- Bonus: Knowledge of modern VFX/Animation workflows like Niagara and Houdini
- Bonus: Experience with stylized art creation (Sculpts, Shaders and FX)
- Passionate about games - Abillity to work autonomously and give feedback where required
- Portfolio demonstrating work
