We are looking for a Technical Artist to stablish and mantain systems, tools and workflows between art and engineering. As well as, improve and leverage our team’s artistic and technical skills to help make our creative vision a reality and collaborate with us on our game Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game.

Responsibilities

  • Level up the end-to-end workflow for our many art disciplines, such as Character Art, Environment Art, Animation, Rigging and VFX.
  • Provide technical support to artists working from our art workflows, collecting data to further improve the tools they are using, making recommendations and improvements where necessary.
  • Own the technical budget of assets in our game and ensure that we maintain stability and performance on our target platforms.
  • Develop internal pipeline tools to streamline production processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Artist and our cross-functional team.
  • Bring ideas and provide feedback to improve both the game and our team’s development processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with tools and art creation workflows.

Requirements

  • Expertise in industry standar content creation tools, such us Maya, photoshop, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Landscape, Lighting, Post-processes, Particle Systems, Physics, and Profiling.
  • Working with materials and shaders within a game engine.
  • Understanding the full cycle of game development and the specifics of optimization.
  • Search for possible ways to increase FPS, and compromises for problem areas.
  • Strong scripting skills (C#, Blueprint, Python, LUA, or equivalent)
  • Ability to work with technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and Blueprints.
  • Ability to work with version control systems.
