Technical Artist [Tom Clancy's The Division 2]

Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Artist who will support a passionate team focused on the continued development of our proudest projects, Tom Clancy's The Division 2.
As Technical Artist, you will act as the bridge between the artists and programmers, art and engine, ensuring the art content and features are easily integrated into the game while respecting the artistic vision and technical constraints of the project.
This is a permanent position based in Malmö Sweden, with the opportunity to work partially from home according to our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply in English (our company language), and we’ll check your application asap!
What you'll do
Your role is to support the content production art teams in achieving top-quality results within the context of the project; You will work closely with the artists and directors to help implement technical art features and new technologies in the project. You will work in the Snowdrop Engine to support the game needs for:
- Rigging and animation
- Lighting
- Game scripting
- Special FX
- Other technical art solutions as needed

You have an eye for quality and a true focus on how we can advance the overall and immersive feel of our game through next-level tools, workflows, and pipelines. You thrive when you find an efficient development solution to a task and that shows in your creative and innovative approach to game development; all with a focus on results and improving efficiency for yourself and your larger team. You're aware that a game is a collaborative endeavor, and you enjoy collaborating with your team members.
Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:
- You have experience in a digital art content creation pipeline, ideally in the video game industry.
- You have experience with game editors, engines and tools.
- You have knowledge of the full digital art content creation pipeline (high and low-poly modeling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, skinning, rigging, level art).
- You adapt easily to new technologies.
- The ability to create technical documentation.
It’s a plus if you have:
- Professional experience from the video games industry (especially with art pipelines)
- Some knowledge of standard 3d software.
- A good artistic eye
