Technical Artist - Rigger | Halo Infinite

SkyBox Labs is a game development studio that works on some of the world’s most iconic games. Our current projects include working as a co-developer on Halo Infinite , projects in the Minecraft Universe , supporting the development of Magic: The Gathering Arena , and original title, Stela . As one of Vancouver’s fastest-growing game studios, since our inception in 2011, SkyBox Labs has evolved from a group of 8 people developing independent projects to a team of over 200 engineers, artists, designers, producers, and more.
SkyBox Labs is seeking a Technical Artist who specializes in Rigging to help develop new character experiences in the Halo universe. As a Rigger at SkyBox, you would be responsible for preparing character rigs of various complexities for our animators for work on Halo Infinite.

Responsibilities
- Build character rigs for a variety of biped and quadruped characters, while maintaining a cohesive look
- Create rigs for both hard-surface and organic characters
- Work closely with modellers, animators, and technical artists to uphold quality to the best it can be
- Communicate effectively across various channels to both the local team and with our distributed partners
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years experience with character rigging in games/film/VFX
- A self-motivated, self-reliant, and proactive attitude
- Solid foundation in human anatomy and mechanical principles
- Proficient in Maya
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-haves:
- AAA game experience
- Experience shipping a game
- Facial rigging experience
- A passion for games!
