Technical Artist, Professional Services

You will be part of our Professional Services team based in Seoul, Korea. You’ll be developing innovative new technology that will assist new customers with adopting Unity as their engine of choice. You’ll help customers adapt their workflows, transition their content pipelines, and push the Unity Engine’s limits to hit their visual targets. By collaborating with Unity’s Professional Services team and a handful of strategic customers, you’ll disrupt the status quo and ensure Unity is the real-time 3D operating system of the future. Your day-to-day work will involve communicating directly with a customer’s technical and artistic leaders, researching and delivering solutions to their content-related challenges, and developing tools to translate content into the Unity Engine. If you’re technically skilled, enjoy coming up with novel solutions to unique problems, and want to educate others about your innovations, you’ll thrive on our team.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative new ways to translate content into the Unity Engine while preserving visual quality and application performance
• Create or modify shaders to demonstrate techniques for achieving customers’ visual targets in Unity
• Create example assets and projects to illustrate solutions and best practices
• Efficiently solve problems, communicate, and educate our customers, both remotely and on-site at their offices
• Educate and assist customers as they ramp up on using the Unity Engine
• Train yourself to remain at the forefront of Unity Engine technology

Requirements

• Experience writing shaders for real-time rendering
• Professional experience working in real-time game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal Engine, or custom) and handling big projects from end to end
• Basic understanding of scripting languages
• Experience creating pipeline tools for Autodesk Maya or 3D Studio MAX

Bonus points

• You have worked as a technical artist on a AAA game title.
• You have experience working with node-based shaders.
• You have experience creating visual content for multiple real-time game engines.
• You are familiar with one or more of the following tools: Substance Painter, Substance Designer, ZBrush, Photoshop, Houdini
• You have experience creating particles or other VFX
• Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English

• 유니티 고객의 비주얼 타겟 달성에 필요한 기술 시연을 위해 셰이더 생성 및 변경
• 솔루션 및 활용 사례를 보여줄 수 있는 에셋과 프로젝트 샘플 제작
• 원격 혹은 현장에서 효율적인 커뮤니케이션과 문제 해결, 고객 교육 제공
• 유니티 엔진 사용과 관련하여 고객 교육 및 지원

자격 요건

• 실시간 렌더링을 위한 셰이더 제작 경험 있으신 분
• 실시간 게임 엔진(유니티, 언리얼 등) 사용 및 대형 프로젝트 진행 경험이 있으신 분
• 스크립트 언어에 대해 기본적인 이해가 있으신 분
• Autodesk Maya 또는 3D Studio MAX용 파이프라인 툴 제작 경험이 있으신 분

우대 사항

• AAA 게임 개발에서 테크니컬 아티스트로서의 경력이 있으신 분
• 노드 기반 셰이더를 사용해 본 적 있으신 분
  
• 다양한 실시간 게임 엔진을 이용해 비주얼 콘텐츠를 제작해본 경험이 있으신 분
• 파티클 또는 VFX 제작 경험이 있으신 분
• 영어로 의사소통이 능통하신 분
