This position is ideally located in LA, but can be remote from the following S6-approved locations: California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for rigging and skinning of characters and their associated wardrobe and props
- Support the tech art needs for our customization systems and pipelines
- Develop and integrate a range of innovative character tech art solutions into UE4
- Work with outsource managers to conduct reviews and feedback loops for external partners
- Communicate and meet visual quality and performance standards
- Collaborate with technical artists and tool programmers to drive workflow innovation and efficiency
- Create tools and rigging solutions to improve our character pipelines
- Collaborate with and train artists on character pipeline tools and character rigs
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience creating AAA quality 3D assets for games
- Experienced in Maya art pipelines for game development
- Experienced in runtime dynamics, joint based simulations, cloth, hair, IK and ragdoll solutions
- Ability to understand and communicate art direction feedback constructively and efficiently
- Experience in JIRA or Shotgrid
- Self-motivated, organized, and energetic
- Motivated by creating great games and also a passionate gamer on your own time
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Professional experience working in Unreal 4
- Experience in high volume art pipelines
- Familiarity with character customization pipelines
- Experience using Python for scripting in Maya
- Experience using C++
Salary Information:
The Los Angeles base salary range for this full-time position is$105,000 - $219,000 for a Mid to Expert-level Technical Artist. Base salary will be determined by role, level, and location. The range listed for each job is the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the positions across S6-approved states. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors. Please discuss your specific salary expectations for your preferred location during our interview process.
Compensation details reflect only the base salary, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits such as 401k matching.

- Choice of Remote (in approved states) or Hybrid office options in Los Angeles, CA, or Orange County, CA (office location pending) unless noted above
- Aligned to core Pacific Coast hours (10:00am - 4:00pm PT)
