TECHNICAL ART INTERN
What You'll Do
You love games and may have made mods or simple games as a hobby. You can create 3D assets, script, and pull together a few elements to make a cool looking level or prototype interesting game mechanics. You have a passion for the technical side of art, workflows, pipelines, texturing, modeling, and VFX. In this role you’ll help to exercise and inform the development of tools for the metaverse with an artist's perspective.
In this role, you will
- Develop an understanding of how the in-game and editor tools will be used to create workflows, content, and experiences for UEFN
- Partner with the art, design, and engineering team to design, implement and validate workflows, tools, and solutions to create experiences for UEFN
- Use the tools to create simple content and experiences to share with the UEFN community
What we're looking for
- Portfolio showcasing artistic and technical aptitude
- Knowledge of 3d art workflows including modeling, texturing, shaders, and vfx
- Experience importing and configuring 3d assets into Unreal Engine
- Skilled in 3D content creation programs like Maya, Zbrush, and Houdini
- Highly motivated individual with a passion for problem-solving
- Basic blueprints and/or Python scripting is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- You will stand-out by demonstrating knowledge and work you’ve done in Unreal Editor for Fortnite
This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
