Technical Animator/Rigger

Animation is the bread and butter for bringing life to the characters in our games. This is the core of what we do and we’re interested in tech animators who are capable of bringing techniques that will allow us and the animation team to bring these characters to life. As we build the team, this person will be expected to take on an individual contributor role as well as interdepartmental duties, so you should be passionate about creating as well as leading.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the animation team to evolve and devise new animation solutions and pipelines
- Create character rigs and facial animation rigs
- Identify and address optimizations and efficiencies within the animation pipeline
- Collaborate with other discipline leads ensuring animation solutions meet the requirements of specific projects
- Share knowledge with internal and external team members
- Research new technologies, innovations and processes
- Proactively resolving technical animation issues
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in video games or relevant transferable technical animation experience.
- Shipped titles in this role preferable
- Technical Animation Demo Reel and / or portfolio
- Good knowledge and expertise in Maya
- Scripting experience in Maya via mel or Python
- Use of Unreal Engine 4 or equivalent
- Passion for animation, video games and comedy
