Technical Animator | Animateur.rice Technique

As a technical animator, you'll work out how the tools and game engine can be developed to overcome the technical challenges associated with creating animation for our games. You'll help the animation team bring a large variety of characters and objects to life by ensuring they have the tools they need to do their jobs.

• Be responsible for the technical aspect of the animation
• Produce scripts and tools to maintain and increase the efficiency of the animation team
• Spot potential animation problems, research new technologies, and find solutions
• Diagnose software problems and understand games engines well enough to ensure they work more effectively
• Share knowledge with animators and programmers, and write technical documents

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the video games industry
• Excellent technical skills like rigging and skinning as well as a good understanding of the principles of animation
• A knowledge of MEL script and Python
• A good knowledge of human anatomy
• An expertise in Maya or other equivalent 3D software
• Passion for animation and video games
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team
• Capacity to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
