The minions of Hell are growing stronger...
Stay awhile and help us make sure everything that moves in the Diablo IV is working properly. Are you passionate about animation? Would you like to work with all the different teams that bring characters to life? Do you love learning and figuring out how game engines work? If so, you should consider this fantastic opportunity on our Technical Art Team.
Our team of hard-working developers is growing. Our backgrounds are diverse, but we share a real passion for making great games. If you’re looking for a tight-knit crew that celebrates self-expression and collaboration, we will be a phenomenal fit for you!
Oh, and you should really like killing demons and getting exciting loot, right? RIGHT?
Stuff We will Trust you With
Right off the bat, we’re going to ask you to solve problems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will center on making sure characters and animations are working accurately in engine. You’ll help implement and troubleshoot assets such as rigged characters and animation sets. On top of that, you will support the Animation and Rigging teams with tools and pipelines, providing them with what they need to build outstanding characters and memorable performances. You might even create some animation content and character rigs here and there, too.
Stuff You Are Familiar With
You may wonder what it will take to be successful in this role. You’ve likely worked with characters, either animating them or rigging them. You should have experience working directly with game engines, and you’re comfortable problem-solving both in-game and in content-creation programs such as Maya. You enjoy collaborating with many types of content creators, from programmers to VFX Artists, from Animators to Designers. Python scripting experience will be a benefit.
And Yeah, You Will Need These Things To Apply
- Portfolio or code samples demonstrating relevant skills. Only online work submissions, please. (e.g. website, blog or online album).
- Willingness to complete a test if requested to do so.
COVID-19 Hiring Update: We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model, and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the games industry. Not sure you meet all qualifications? Let us decide! Research shows that women and members of other under-represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when, in fact, they often do! At Activision Blizzard, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.
