Senior 2D Spine Animator - Technical (Contract)

Osmo is seeking a 2D Spine Animator to help us design, create and implement content inside our Unity Projects - AR and Mixed Reality products for kids. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals and the ability to create compelling animations for innovative children's games. Must be comfortable and familiar with working inside Unity
Responsibilities
- Update and polish game assets inside Unity (focus on animation polish)
- Utilize Unity’s timeline and our proprietary tools to adjust and polish the timing of assets based on gameplay, storytelling and narratives: Animation, VO, Sound FX, VFX, etc..
- Work closely with the Art leads to deliver animations that are engaging for kids and to up to visual standards
- Support and collaborate with artists, engineers and designers to bridge the flow of art assets within the game development pipeline.
- Test art assets in Spine and Unity as they are delivered for integration and provide the solutions for any fixes.
Requirements
- BFA degree and/or experience in games-related product
- At least 3 years experience working with Spine and inside Unity/Git revision control
- A strong portfolio demonstrating examples of work completed inside Unity Engine (focus on Animation, VO, Sound FX, VFX)
- Solid understanding in animating the human bipedal figure as well as other organic forms
- A high proficiency in puppet animation with a solid grasp of the principles of animation: motion, timing, anticipation, follow-through, squash and stretch, forward/inverse kinematics.
- Solid understanding of the concepts of art content creation and asset pipelines
- Ability to work efficiently within a high-pressure, fast paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
- Great communicator with strong verbal and written skills
- Flexible and enthusiastic about learning new things
Nice to have
- Experience designing applications for a global and multilingual user (kids) base
- Knowledge working with AR and VR technologies
