Tech Lead & Solution Architect

WE ARE LOOKING FOR...

ustwo Nordics Studio, located in Malmö, is looking for two Tech Leads/Solution Architects to support the delivery of existing and new projects built using iOS, Android, React, React Native and Unity (relax, you don’t need to be a master in all platforms). We are tech agnostic and have experience from working across all three major cloud vendors.

The ideal candidate works collaboratively to solve difficult problems and build great features in cross-functional teams of engineers, QAs, designers, product owners and delivery leads. With your technical expertise you work closely with the delivery lead to manage the client, priorities, risks, (technical) requirements analysis and deliverables; and close with the project team to help design, develop, test and deploy software solutions.

As a Tech Lead, you are not only technically competent and hands-on, but can also provide technical leadership to projects and people, mentor members of the team and manage communication with non-technical members and stakeholders. You manage the project’s technical direction, take responsibility for the architecture and work closely with our leads within the project team to ensure that it can be delivered successfully.

Finally, as Tech Lead you are a natural part of the pitch process for new projects and need to be comfortable with presenting and recommending solutions in front of new and existing customers.

YOU ARE...

• Responsible for Technical Architecture, requirement gathering and definition including implementation.

• A highly skilled full stack developer/solution architect with experience from:
• understanding complex business processes and architectures.
• working with UX designers to help define a range of frontend solutions solutions.
• shaping roadmaps with changes that will need backend architecture changes by the client to enable them.
• An excellent communicator. Given this role will involve a high level of client stakeholder engagement and interaction, clear communication skills are critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, deploy and improve digital products.
• Work with delivery leads and leads to ensure we’re building high-quality products as well as delivering the project on time and on budget.
• Drive technical direction in projects and assure they meet scalability, robustness and security requirements.
• Be responsible for the team’s technical approach to problems and the solution architecture.
• Be hands-on on projects if / when needed.
• Accountable for the technical delivery of the project by the team.
• Client and 3rd party partners relationship management.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Backend
• Experience with API design and development
• Experience with deploying, hosting, securing, monitoring and scaling in the cloud (AWS & Google Cloud primarily, but Azure is also relevant)

• Mobile
• Very high level of frontend development experience and production considerations such as AA accessibility, setting and meeting performance budgets, automated testing
• Experience building mobile applications in iOS, Android or React Native.
• Javascript, ideally including React (or other web component libs), TypeScript

• Development
• Applying the best design pattern for the case
• Awareness of the latest libraries and tendencies
• Experience with unit testing, UI testing
• Experience working with Git

• General
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong experience managing clients and 3rd party providers
• Experience working within agile environments such as Scrum / Kanban

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with AWS
• Experience in Serverless framework & architecture
• Experience with API integration / testing / design / implementation, ideally with deeper understanding of different patterns
• Experience in Node.js
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Deployment
• Experience with TDD and / or BDD and automating this using a framework
• Experience in working closely with UX & Visual designers in the same team
• Experience from E-com and CMS
