THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Technical Animator who’s passionate about crafting groundbreaking experiences for fellow gamers. Awesome art makes for great games, so you’ll play a crucial role in bringing our first title to life.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Rigging, skinning, and engine setup for rigged assets for a game developed with Unreal
- Creating solutions that result in rigged assets that deform and move properly and consistently
- Create prototype animation content and assist in the import of animation into the engine
- Collaborate with the art, animation, and engineering teams on in-engine animation setup
- Troubleshoot and optimize technical issues related to animation and asset deformation
- Work with external vendors on rigging and skinning of character and weapon assets
- Contributing to a team culture that prides itself on excellence, innovation, trust, and respect
ABOUT YOU
- A love for playing and making shooters
- Experience with Unreal 4 on a shipped commercial game
- Passion for creating amazing character rigs and animation solutions
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Technical Animator/Artist for PC or console games
- Self-motivated and eager to contribute to many different areas of development outside of tech art
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- In-depth knowledge of Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, and Photoshop
- Extensive experience working with Unreal content workflows and profiling/optimization tools
