Summary
The Technical Artist assists in creating top quality art that push the boundaries of gaming entertainment. Technical Artist is responsible for the visual quality, bringing the team under a consistent and unified direction and utilizing industry leading techniques and tools.
• Working closely with the Game Designers, Graphic Illustrators, Animators, Technical Artists, and Software Engineers to create and tweak various art components required by the games using cutting edge techniques to deliver top class visuals for our products. He/she facilitates and builds upon the game direction by driving the vision and pushing for high quality and creatively finding technical solutions in conjunction with Art Leads, Game Designers, Technical Artist and engineers. Great communication skills are essential.What you'll do
- Collaborate closely as a member of the Art team to work on day to day technical art tasks and meet business goals.
- As a Technical Artist, he/she inspires and motivates the team to deliver their best work and provides effective and constructive feedback to the art team.
- Proficiency in documentation and communication is essential in sharing information and articulating the rationale behind the art direction decisions among the development team, outsourcing, internal executives, and our licensing partners.
- Encourage the artistic development of artists on staff through training and mentorship.
- Project planning and tracking skills & understanding are important to ensure the team stays on track and priorities adapt to creative changes as needed.

What we're looking for
- 4-6 years of experience
- Prior programming/scripting experience desirable but not necessary
- Proven ability to take visual concepts and produce required art.
- Knowledge of current art styles and trends.
- Moderate to expert traditional art skills including drawing, composition, graphic and color theory.
- A strong sense of visual style, with story development skills.
- Understanding of movement and lighting.
- Verify that game assets meet technical requirements.
- Broad understanding of technical issues in graphics, such as rendering, performance, streaming and memory management.
- Supports engineering development by updating and modifying artwork to meet technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Be meticulous and organized in the approach to the tasks, files and storage of the material.
- Advanced knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator & After effects.
- Knowledge of platform constraints, understanding of software tools, and graphic production process.
- Extensive technical/analytical background and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and work well with team members and other departments.
- Ability to produce artwork in a timely manner with top quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to make and ship art to engineering specifications.
- Excellent graphic design skills or storyboarding techniques.
- Skill in character design or logo design.
- Able to give effective critiques and also take feedback & criticism
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to work independently and be team oriented.
