SUMMARY OF POSITION
Pixelberry Studios is looking for a full-time Tech Administrator. The Tech Administrator's principle goal is to oversee the Pixelberry team's hardware and software to keep everything running optimally, to create solutions for hardware and software configuration, and to deliver recommendations for future projects or upgrades.
Currently, all Pixelberry staff are working remotely. Hybrid work model (1 day/week in-office) will be in place once we resume on-site operations, currently scheduled for January 2022. 100% remote option will be available/reviewed on a case-by-case basis only.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the day-to-day technical needs of the company, including technical support, onboarding, and asset configuration.
- Maintain relevant portions of the fixed asset list for hardware purchases.
- Maintain off-the-shelf software being used, and regularly audit user base, if applicable.
- Own and iterate on the process for adding new software and accounts.
- Manage relevant vendor relationships to ensure vendors meet project objectives and defined SLAs.
- Define network infrastructure for current and future office locations.
- Develop IT requirements and deployment plans for all hardware and software upgrades.
- Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to key stakeholders.
- Develop and review budgets to comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives
- Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all Production systems.
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Advise on best practices in technology support and administration with focus on optimization of the environment.
- Possess and apply knowledge of information and data security requirements and implementation of systems and processes to secure company networks and data and oversee cybersecurity operation and audit access rights for all IT resources
- Ensure Service Desk SLAs and Customer Service standards are defined, communicated and met with a focus on continuous improvement over time
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Experience
- College degree in the field of computer science or information systems and 5+ years related work experience
- Working knowledge of ITIL / ITSM fundamentals, certification preferred
- Understanding cloud-based phone systems as well as Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Understanding of Cloud based computing with a preference to AWS
- Understanding of networking and Security concepts
- Practical working and technical knowledge of current network, Apple and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards
- Experience and strong practical working knowledge of GSuite suite of products
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
