Manager, Product Management - Control Center
San Francisco, CA
This position reports to the Senior Manager on the Product Management team for Core Services. One of the primary functions of the Core Services Product Management team is to develop and operate the overall UI interaction models, common components, common system experiences, and delivery framework.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of product managers.
- Work with key team members within Sony Corporation to develop a roadmap for core services
- Lead the backlog of epics and features and drive prioritization.
- Ensure support for wider Sony initiatives that touch the core services team.
- Collaborate with technical development teams to clearly convey requirements and provide insight into business rationale/benefits
- Support product design, development, and release process for assigned feature teams and maintain the product development roadmap
- Develop critical metrics in order to measure success and ensure progress is maintained in a positive direction.
- Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
- Develop both internal and external product education strategies
- Provide user and competitive input to research & development to address end user needs/concerns
- Manager responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Budgeting annual headcount in relation to responsibilities
- Hiring, career development, goal setting and supervising employee performance.
- Representing your area of responsibility to executive teams within Sony.
- Working closely with other product management managers and senior management on how we can provide leadership to the department.
Requirements & Experience
- BA/BS Degreeor equivalent
- Working experience (5+ years) within the gaming industry digital or physical supply chain.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in product management, business analysis or project management roles.
- Line management experience of a team or product managers or business analysts within a technology environment (5+ personnel).
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel
- Strong PowerPoint presentation abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Ability to travel for key partner meetings
Additional requirements include:
- Working experience of the Product Manager / Product Owner environment
- Consistent track record to work with partners and project team members to further the business outcomes of our products and services
- Excellent written, verbal, and social skills - You will be interacting with all types of people (user experience designers, engineers, managers, clients, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multiple project environment on an independent basis and with minimal supervision
- Understand agile software development process
- Knowledge of movie, music and video game service and software industries, business models and markets including contending services is helpful but not required
- Ability to provide examples of prior work (requirements documents, user stories, wireframes, user flows, etc)
