Summary

The incumbent will assist the Systems Engineers with ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all Aristocrat Information Systems that support core business functions. Consistently provide professional and responsive Operational Support services to the business which achieves or exceeds Service Level Agreements.

What you'll do

· Technical Leadership: Lead product evaluations and proof of concepts of new technologies, responsible for leading and executing technical discovery, design and deployment deliverable. Assist delivery team to prepare required documentation like HLD, LLD and test plan and prepare execution plan & WBS required for the project implementation and review the documents required to execute any minor and major changes.

· Customer Interaction: Interact with the various stakeholders on technology, project and process, be part of CR review and technical review meetings

· Process Leadership: Identifies tasks that keep recurring e.g. server builds, and get procedures and checklists created. Identify areas for automation and work with leads and managers to get it done. Go over frequent and persistent alerts and bring up observations and action items to discuss with seniors and peers for further actions. Assist service delivery manager in customer onboarding, project planning and execution

· Team Leadership: Manage and guide a team of senior and junior IT specialists who perform operational and project tasks during work shifts. Utilize staff strengths, mentor staff in weak areas and identify areas for improvements and trainings

· Incidents & Requests: Identifies risky changes and works out a contingency plan and is primary owner for incident reports that get sent to customers for major issues. Assist service delivery manager and other seniors: When he/she requests validation of work done or analysis of a new customer request, review the work or ticket.

· Quality: Track, report and improvise quality of deliverables (incident/problem solution, requests and project deliverables. Introduce innovative ideas to make it repeatable and sustainable practice for the team. Introduce innovative ideas for quality improvements

· The candidate will interface with the Security, Application, Infrastructure and ITSM teams to coordinate Windows/Linux/Unix patching deployments.

· Maintain operational procedures as needed to ensure patching success rates and will be the main point of communication for security patching.

· Act as interface with customers and management to conduct reviews and provide reporting on patching status and any trends seen to help improve the health of the environment.

· Ensures overall service levels for server uptimes through patch management standards, enterprise images and driver packages.

· Employs continual service improvement though monthly and quarterly patch management metrics reviews.

· Communicates patch management process and procedures, working practices, and changes to internal teams and customers.

· Updates and maintains enterprise patch maintenance window.

· Provides technical support and consultation to teams and customers as needed.

· Attends high severity change patch maintenance windows and assists in documenting completion of the change.

· Maintains ticket queues for new patching or change requests.

What we're looking for

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 12 years’ experience with Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager and WSUS in a multi-site, enterprise environment.

• Min 12 years Information Technology or Engineering or information Systems, or related work experience.

• Minimum 7 years of systems engineering/administration experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

• Ability to communicate technical issues and translate into non-technical business reviews.
