Job Description
Ubisoft IT is currently looking for a Team Lead to join the Hosting Services team (UHS). This team is in charge of the infrastructure for supporting online games and centralized corporate systems such as data centres, network, storage, virtualization, and clouds. In this role, you would bring your expertise to life within a dynamic team of gamers and technology enthusiasts.
Your main goal will be to manage a team of talented IT Project Managers to successfully deliver the project roadmap. The key to qualifying for this role is to demonstrate your ability to provide a clear vision of the future to the team, to grow the team's talent and abilities and to coach the members of the team to bring them to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of IT Project Managers dedicated to Hosting by managing Project Portfolios such as scope and priorities, creating, prioritizing, assigning tasks and following up on the advancement of the team’s work with regards to deliverables;
- Develop and/or improve different work methodologies depending on the nature of the activity such as Product and Deployment;
- Implement and improve relevant metrics & KPIs to measure performance of projects as well as improve communication plans on projects;
- Assist on improving tools required for project management tool such as budgeting, and planning tools;
- Participate in the recruitment and integration of new team members;
- Assist product owners and team leads in managing and maintaining their products.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Project Management training/certification such as PMP, CSM, Prince2, or other;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or scrum master position within an IT environment.
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent management skills related to prioritization, facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement, budgeting, scheduling and change management processes;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to give clear direct feedback, set clear expectations and connect with people on a personal level;
- Self-motivated problem-solver with the capacity to detect problems;
- In-depth knowledge of Agile and traditional (Waterfall) project management practices;
- Basic understanding of information technology foundations such as software development, automation, and hardware/infrastructure;
- Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS project;
- Bilingual (French/English) is required both orally and written.
