Team Lead Animator
As an Animation Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Animation team, setting objectives for both short and long term, driving Quality Standards and collaborating with Directors to deliver Ubisoft games.
Type of Position: Permanent, full-time.
Responsibilities
- Set and drive AAA quality standards for Toronto studio animation team
- Collaborate with Directors to define animation style, direction and quality expectations
- Drive the strategy of Animation pipeline, tools and processes
- Hire, mentor and manage Toronto animation team
- Collaborate with our internal network of Studios for animation, motion capture, audio
- Provide daily feedbacks and direction to the animation team
- Be a leader in pushing innovation and new ideas
Training
- Diploma in game-oriented 3D animation technique or any other equivalent training or experience.
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in animation, games, film or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in management role
- Strong understanding of animation principles and fundamentals
- Excellent artistic skills
- Good knowledge of 3D animation software and technical constraints related to the production of video games. 3D Studio Max and Motionbuilder preferred.
Other Skills
- Excellent leadership’s skills
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organized, self-driven, and great team player
- Knowledge on Scripting language is a plus
- Experience in mocap directing is a plus
- Passion for video games
