The Challenge
Take-Two Interactive is searching for a Tax & Compliance Manager join their team!
Reporting to the Senior Director of UK Accounting, the successful Tax & Compliance Manager will play a key role in contributing to the overall success in all areas of the group function.
As a senior member of the Compliance and Accounting function, the successful individual will be responsible for day-to-day management of all areas of tax compliance for UK and Irish publishing entities, whilst also managing deadlines and requirements associated with these and ensuring that all compliance is completed accurately and within the relevant legal requirements.
What You’ll Take On
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the tax compliance, and accounting for the UK and Irish publishing entities; ensuring deadlines are met and that all named companies comply with all relevant legal and statutory requirements.
- Management of Senior Compliance Accountant
- Managing the internal income US GAAP tax compliance process
- First port of call for any day-to-day corporate tax questions / analysis, forming strong working relationships with both US tax team and external advisors.
- Responsible for VAT compliance across all TTI UK / and T2 GB group VAT registrations, including UK / Germany / Czech Republic / Australia / Singapore / Austria / Poland. Ensure that all compliance deadlines are met including VAT returns, payments, statistical analysis etc.;
- Ensure that processes are in place to ensure that all VAT requirements are being met at a processing level, working with all Finance and operations teams and be first point of call for any queries;
- Ownership of SAO documentation and processes, ensuring all controls operate effectively.
- Managing and assisting Senior Compliance Accountant with PAYE Settlement Agreement return, ensuring that all deadlines are met re filing, compliance and payments.
- Any other Ad hoc external reporting requirements as necessary.
- Act as cover for the UK and International treasury tasks within the compliance team as necessary, including:
- Cash management, especially the quarter end interco and other large cash movements.
- Hedging calculations on a Bi- monthly basis – ensuring all base data is collated from all sources and analysed to ensure that the hedges placed are accurate.
- Cash forecasts for R* International, TTE, GB and TTI UK.
- Assist as necessary with the bank reconciliations for all companies on a monthly basis;
- Assist team in posting of payroll for UK and Ireland publishing entities on a monthly basis, liaising with HR to ensure timeliness and any queries;
- Ensure that control accounts for all taxes (payroll / VAT / CTX) and are fully reconciled and accurate on a monthly basis;
- In conjunction with other members of the finance team responsible for preparation and completion of the UK based T2 statutory accounts; ensuring they are filed in a timely manner. Liaise with the auditors to ensure that time tables for completion and relevant visits are scheduled well in advance and drive the financial statements to completion;
What You Bring
- An experienced Tax & Compliance Manager, with the ability to deliver accurately & within tight deadlines
- A Qualified Accountant with good ERP & BI Systems knowledge (including JD Edwards One World, Hyperion, OBI, HFM and Excel.)
- Good working knowledge of corporation tax and VAT
- Experience in a multi - currency environment
- Experience of working for a US quoted company
- Good working knowledge of statutory requirements
- Demonstrated experience of people management
- Ability to own an area but also inform managers of any issues
- Strong interpersonal skills and with the ability to form excellent working relationships internally and externally.
- Technically competent in tax processes, with the ability to introduce ‘best practices’ within the finance re tax / VAT
- Ambitious, proactive, self – starter with the ability to progress on their own and drive projects to completion whilst recommending improvements to current processes.
