Tax Transformation Specialist

We're looking for a talented and passionate Tax Transformation Specialist , to join Wildlife's Tax team in São Paulo, Brazil.
As our Tax Transformation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to own and drive tax functions in our ERP and legacy systems, ensuring that tax routines are handled efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing automation opportunities, allowing us to scale our tax operations while maintaining a continuous improvement framework for all jurisdictions we operate in.
In addition to the above, you will also own our business intelligence function, building and managing Oracle Analytics as the single source of truth for all tax data. This will serve both our tax compliance and planning teams, and provide valuable insights to help us make strategic decisions.
As the leader for multiple technology projects, you'll be required to take strategic and functional decisions, prepare analysis and recommendations, and test system functions. We expect you to have notable project management skills, excellent communication skills (which entails being able to discuss technical issues with technology and tax teams), and to be up to date with the latest market best practices in Tax Transformation.

What you'll do
- Own tax functions in Oracle Cloud ERP and other legacy systems (Synchro, RecebeMais, Looker, and Oracle Analytics) ensuring they're fully compliant with tax routines in all jurisdictions we’re established
- Improve and implement new tax compliance workflows in ERP ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and streamlining the overall process to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
- Improve and streamline tax data management and reporting by leading the effort to integrate tax data from various sources into a single system to reduce manual work and increase accuracy.
- Automate and redesign manual tax routines, with a focus on account and cost center determination, electronic billing, FX variations, CIT, and VAT accruals in order to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
- Spread awareness and foster continuous improvement through documentation and training by leading the effort to document all key workflows related to taxes in the ERP, including manuals, FAQs, videos, and other useful materials, to spread awareness and improve overall understanding of tax compliance processes.
What you'll need
- 4+ years working with tax compliance which entails solid understanding of the major taxation workflows (income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and indirect taxation on services)
- Proven experience as a Tax key-user in ERP or legacy systems implementations, particularly Oracle ERP, and the ability to identify and solve ERP backlogs for tax compliance workflows
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools to build and manage a single source of truth for all tax data
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple technology projects, make strategic and functional decisions, and prepare analysis and recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical issues in both tax and technology lingo and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience with tax automation and the ability to identify and implement automation opportunities to scale tax operations and improve efficiency. - Advanced English communication (written and spoken)
- Plus if you need experience with Oracle Cloud, Synchro, and Oracle Analytics
