As the Manager, Tax Operations, you will report to the Director of Tax to lead the tax operations function and support our growth globally. You will work with multiple different teams and external advisors. You will work with a high level of collegiality, using your technical knowledge of global income taxes.
This is a full-time role on a hybrid schedule located in our in San Mateo, California office.
You Will:
- Manage external tax advisors' preparation of quarterly and annual tax accounting for financial and SEC reporting purposes, and the preparation of federal, state and international tax reporting and compliance functions.
- Assist with the preparation of key inputs to the income tax calculations.
- Operate internal controls for income taxes.
- Manage tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities.
- Research income tax technical issues.
- Partner closely with the business and external tax advisors in identifying and prioritizing income tax issues and opportunities.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of ongoing systems improvements and automated tools critical to future growth of the tax department.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or a CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of corporate tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department.
- Technical knowledge of U.S. income tax matters, ASC 740 - Income Taxes, and relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets and perform complex functions) to maximize the efficiency and accuracy of tax processes and reconciliations.
- High attention to detail to complete projects and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful to non-tax professionals.
