Talent Sourcing Lead

At Sumo, we’ve been really lucky to be experiencing a long period of sustained and considered growth. This has created a need for us to develop our talent acquisition function in order to deliver the people needed and to offer a great candidate experience.
We aim to hire the best talent in the shortest possible amount of time whilst ensuring that the candidate experience is constantly improved. The role is varied, with getting the opportunity to implement and develop our internal sourcing provision. You’ll be able to steer how it evolves with the growth of our existing studios and the injection of new studios. You have an integral role in helping the function evolve and enable us to deliver our businesses growth targets.

The role would best suit a candidate with previous full-cycle recruitment experience and some management experience.
We would ideally like the successful candidate to be based out of one of our studios, but we can support a fully remote role for this position.
In your role you will:
- Create your own sourcing function within the existing recruitment function
- Recruit and lead a small team of discipline specialist talent sourcers
- Identify, select and attract some of the top talent from the global games industry
- Seek opportunities to create new, innovative candidate attraction strategies
- Manage the internal referral programme
- Develop an industry events plan to attend or create and promote the right events to attract talent
- Have a finger on the pulse of the market and provide news and insights to the wider team
- Interrogate the processes to drive improvements to our existing recruitment processes
- Offer training to your own and the wider recruitment team on the best sourcing tools and techniques
- Develop great working relationships with your hiring teams.
- Support and nurture the Sourcers and work with your peers and the Talent Acquisition Manager to deliver a first-class service to the business.
- Identify areas of improvement to achieve a better candidate experience and profile to candidate conversion
- Work closely with the Recruitment Lead to create and drive great processes and ensure all candidate input channels are maximised.
- Identify and work with the team to develop capability, championing and supporting their development
- Be the ambassador for Sumo studios at industry events throughout the year.
- Develop strong reporting on sourced talent successes.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends in order to prepare recruiting and hiring reports to report on progress and assess success.
We need you to have:
- Previous talent sourcing experience as a must
- The confidence in sharing and implementing process change to continue to improve our maturing recruitment function
- The ability to build great relationships with the wide range of characters across the business, with our service providers and most importantly with our diverse candidate pool
- The ability to prioritise workloads effectively
- The ability to communicate whether that be in a face to face scenario, over the phone OR via email/MS Teams.
