Talent Acquisition Writer & Editor (13-Month Maternity Leave Replacement)
Job Description
As a writer & editor, you’ll join the studio’s Talent team to communicate our many career opportunities more clearly and consistently – both externally and internally.
On the external front, you’ll craft inclusive, engaging job ads to connect with candidates and set the tone for the recruitment process. And, with the support of our part-time Content Specialist Intern, you’ll revamp older ads to keep our postings fresh and up to date.
On the internal side, you’ll edit job mappings in partnership with your fellow Talent team members.
Throughout your 13-month mandate, you can count on tapping into your collaborative spirit and adding an impactful dose of creativity and clarity to every piece of content that you touch.
What you’ll do
- Create compelling, inclusive job ads. You’ll gather information through research + meet with employees from communities across the studio (like art, programming, design, etc.) to better understand their roles and then write about them.
- Update already existing job ads. You’ll edit ads written over the years, ensuring that they’re aligned with our style and are as inclusive as possible. (No worries if you’re not familiar with inclusive language concepts, by the way. We’ll teach you.)
- Coordinate translation requests. You’ll write ads in the language in which you’re most comfortable and outsource their translation to an external agency.
- Edit job mappings. You’ll revise and modify these 1-2-page documents created for our studio employees to understand the full scope, responsibilities, and key skills of the positions that make up our organizational structure.
- Stay on the lookout for improvement opportunities. You’ll collaborate closely with your colleagues on the Talent Acquisition & Internal Mobility team to identify ways to enhance the candidate experience and our employer brand through content.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Significant experience in content writing and editing (or related experience)
- French and English communication skills (you’ll work in a bilingual environment, writing in your preferred language and editing in both French and English)
- Flexibility in the organization of your work, allowing you to balance priorities and take initiative
- The ability to listen attentively and synthesize information into easy-to-understand texts
- A degree in Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing, or Translation (or other relevant training)
- A focus on clarity and accuracy + a keen eye for detail
An understanding of the video game industry would be great (curiosity and a desire to learn will go a long way 😊)
What to send our way
- Your CV, highlighting your background and skills
