This position will be remote with travel involved to support new store openings and report to the Human Resources Manager. We are looking for a personable, motivated, scrappy, and passionate person to take on the role of Talent Acquisition Specialist. As the Talent Acquisition Specialist of Sandbox VR, you thrive on building connections with our team and community. You anticipate hiring issues before they arise and come up with solutions and plans to ensure deadlines are met. We’re looking for someone to join our team on a full-time basis.
What will you be doing:
- Recruiting Budgets: Help create and manage budgets for the recruitment process. Assist with budget planning for new store openings and current retail locations to optimize seasonal and off-season hiring
- Job Mastery: Has a full understanding of Sandbox operation procedures, requirements, and all job descriptions to ensure effective and efficient hiring
- Live the Sandbox VR way: exceed expectations of our vendors and team by promoting our culture, mission, and core values.
- Onboarding: Lead onboarding process for all operations management and corporate new hires
- Project Management: you will work with the Sandbox team to help prepare hiring schedules and deadlines to ensure successful and timely new store openings.
- On Site Support: partnering with HR Manager and Operations team for on-site visits to support retail hiring and job fairs
- Collaboration: you’ll be asked to partner with management and other Sandbox team members for ad-hoc projects and other HR-related duties that might arise in a fast-growing startup company
- Communication: consistently communicate any hiring progress and updates to retail management and corporate team
- New Location Setup Management – Working with the HR team to set up hiring platforms for new locations and ensure new hires are set up with existing systems to be successful in their roles.
- Compliance – Follow local and federal laws relating to recruiting and hiring
- Candidate Sourcing – Effectively build pipeline for retail and corporate hiring. Proactively recruit via LinkedIn, Job Boards, Advertising, Referrals, and our careers site.
- Networking - Seek out and build relationships in our retail store markets to identify industry trends and upcoming hiring

You’ll be expected to maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate integrity, honesty, and knowledge to provide a white-glove experience for our vendors and team.
- Physical Stamina: Because this is a corporate retail position, you’ll occasionally be expected to stand and walk around for long periods of time. You’ll also occasionally be required to bend, lift (more than 25 lbs.), or climb upstairs. You’ll also need strong close-distance hand-eye coordination and dexterity capabilities to handle support tasks.
