As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Ubisoft Toronto, you will be responsible for the entire recruitment process for a variety of disciplines across video game production and support teams. As part of the recruitment team, you will support the growth of our studio by identifying talented candidates who bring their expertise and passion about building great games to work every day.
You connect people to opportunities – both internally and externally. On the one hand, you directly influence our studio’s ability to recruit top talent. On the other, you help current employees take the next step in their career via our internal recruitment program.
When it comes to interactions, you’re all about authenticity: on the phone, online, and in person. You care about cultivating meaningful relationships and sharing your excitement about building something extraordinary together at Ubisoft.
Type of position: Full-time, Contract
The daily life of a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Ubisoft Toronto
- Manage full cycle recruitment functions from job advertisement, sourcing, screening, offer negotiation, to hiring of successful candidates;
- Identify requirements of ideal profiles from hiring managers;
- Support and advise hiring managers in the recruitment and selection process;
- Use innovative tools and methods available to find the best candidates;
- Encourage employee referrals to network and build a pipeline of talent;
- Provide timely follow-up’s with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience;
- Constantly source and build relationships with potential candidates to maintain a strong pipeline for future vacancies;
- Develop an awareness of local competitors, industry trends, and game studio openings/closures;
- Represent Ubisoft Toronto at industry events, using the opportunity to network and interact with prospective candidates;
- Build trusted relationships with hiring managers and peers across the Toronto studio and other Ubisoft locations worldwide;
- Maintain & provide weekly recruitment reports;
- Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications
What it takes to make it
- An undergraduate degree in Human Resources & Labour Relations or equivalent;
- Around 5 years of recruitment experience or other relevant experience (within a corporate recruiting environment a huge plus);
- Skilled in direct sourcing techniques and other innovative ways of sourcing talent in the video game market;
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, professional networking platforms, Excel, and Outlook;
- Comfortable with constructively providing feedback;
- Ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term goals;
- A highly collaborative spirit & people-centric mindset;
- Demonstrated ability to be resourceful in finding both active and passive job seekers;
- Polished communication skills and proven experience in building relationships with candidates and hiring managers;
- Attention to detail and process oriented;
- Organized with a strong capacity to recognize priorities;
- Takes initiative, follows through and has capacity to make important decisions.
