Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Systems Engineer in San Diego, CA to support engineering teams in the integration, deployment, monitoring and support of the applications and services. Requires a Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience driving improvements in process and technology to improve continuous delivery, application availability, system resiliency and application monitoring. Prior experience must include two (2) years of troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application configuration, deployment and debugging; monitoring production systems to identify issues before system impact; developing monitoring tools, metrics and reports for tracking application and service performance; participating in software and system performance analysis, service capacity planning, and service continuity validation; analyzing, designing, and developing automated scripts and tools to automate operational tasks and activities; using Linux (RHEL or CentOS), Splunk, shell, perl, and python; deploying Java application servers, including Apache Tomcat; and, working with Agile development methodologies. ** The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the alternative.** Send resumes to SNEI-Job-Postings@am.sony.com & indicate job code WH0807-2019.
