Job Title: Systems Engineer
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of IT Enterprise Service, Productivity & Collaboration, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting, implementing and designing Activision Blizzard’s core collaboration & productivity services. This is a hands-on role with a blend of consulting, support and architecture.
Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, integrate, and delegate Activision’s Office 365 and Google Workspace services.
- Manage related productivity & collaboration services such as hybrid Exchange environment, SMTP relays, and SaaS enterprise services, Slack, Monday.com, Miro, etc.
- Knowledge of Active Directory domain administration: design & implement schema/forest/domain upgrades, ensure performance & security of a global footprint
- Think code first and promote a Devops way of working with an emphasis on self-service
- Work closely with cloud infrastructure & security teams to build secure & agile corporate environments.
- Create documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Knowledge Base articles, and Troubleshooting Guides which promote user and administrator self-service
- Bring together the technology stack of Activision, Blizzard and King in tandem with your peers.
- Support legacy systems and find a way to migrate out of them
- Support our productivity & collaboration services during business hours and in an on-call rotation.
- Assist & mentor the service desk team to reduce escalations and delight our colleagues
Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree; Bachelors or Masters in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience working with Office365 and/or Google Workspace
- 3+ years Exchange server administration experience (upgrades, design, troubleshooting)
- 3 years’ experience engineering new enterprise solutions from requirements gathering through implementation, documentation, and operational handoff.
- 2 years’ experience leveraging PowerShell and/or other languages like Python to automate administrative tasks
- 1+ years experience working with Okta
- Experience writing Powershell scripts
- Python or other object oriented language
- Passion for learning new technology
- Track record at creative problem solving
- Good grasp of networking (DNS, routing, carving out subnets, etc.)
- Nice to have experience with
- Google Cloud Platform / AWS
- Project management skill
