Systems Engineer – Identity
Activision Blizzard’s IT Enterprise Services division is looking for an experienced and talented Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management team. The IAM team is responsible for the infrastructure and services which support identity management along with on-prem and cloud authentication.
This role augments our team of Identity Engineers responsible for designing and operating SailPoint IdentityIQ services, which handle identity and lifecycle across the Activision, Blizzard, and King organizations. The ideal candidate is well-versed in identity management principles and is specifically experienced in SailPoint IdentityIQ development leveraging compiled Java classes. If you nerd-out on roles and entitlements, dream about automated unit testing, and crave peers who share your frustration with upstream worker data, we want to hear from you!
If you haven’t worked with Sailpoint IdentityIQ before, but you’re an amazing Java developer with experience using other forms of user identity management and a passion to learn more, you may still be a good match for the role.
A good Identity Engineer is a self-starter who watches for every area of improvement and proactively drives new solutions to stay ahead of the company’s needs. Working directly with our project management and other IT teams, this role will drive decisions which shape our services for years to come. This role also works directly with our Security team to review proposed configurations before implementing, and to address any issues with existing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Primary support and development provider for SailPoint IdentityIQ
- Provide guidance to integration teams and internal team members on IAM-related technologies in the form of consultations, architecture and design proposals, and reviews.
- Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration documentation.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, providing 24/7 support for all responsible systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience developing in Java compiled classes
- 2 years’ experience using version control systems, preferably Git
- 2 years’ experience designing and implementing SailPoint IdentityIQ or additional years of Java development.
- 5 years’ experience working in an enterprise IT environment
- Solid understanding of security best practices, both theory and practical implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Bonus Points For
- A degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with Okta and federation/authorization protocols (SAML, OAUTH, OIDC)
- Experience with Microsoft Identity Manager
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with Azure AD Premium
- Experience working in a DevOps environment, or knowledge of DevOps principles
- Virtualization experience with VMware and Hyper-V
- Love for video games and other geeky stuff.
