System and Operation Specialist (MaaS)

Job Description
Within the team that develops and operationalizes physical machine deployment tools (MaaS), the specialist develops, deploys and supports various software and scripts that automate, operationalize and maintain our physical machine deployment in our environments.
By adopting the DevOps philosophy within the team, the specialist also ensures the stability, performance and success of physical machine deployment as well as the development of the infrastructure required for configuration tools using emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
The main and usual tasks of this role are:
- Design, build, deploy, monitor and maintain various configurations and deployment tools for physical machines;
- Participate in the design and execution of infrastructure load tests;
- Diagnose and correct anomalies (i.e.: harvest and analysis of metrics and log);
- Prepare, configure, test, deploy, manage and enhance the integration and continuous deployment systems;
- Imaging physical machines
- Repair and maintenance of operating system installation systems;
- Implement and maintain the game deployment guides and document the implementation and technical specifications of the network and server infrastructures;
- Design the server infrastructure and develop it for games combining Windows and Linux servers;
- Prepare recipes for automating the deployment of the infrastructure (ex: Ansible, Chef);
- Develop tools and scripts to automate the management and maintenance of the infrastructure (in addition to Ansible, Chef or other);
- Analyze and suggest the implementation of an infrastructure architecture for different types of projects;
- Participate in peer review, quality, reliability and reusability of systems and procedures;
- Participate in the evaluation and integration of new technologies and best practices;
- Keep up-to-date on DevOps trends and technologies;
- Act as a reference and expert for all aspects of DevOps with gaming productions;
- Perform other related duties.
Education:
Diploma in Computer Science or other equivalent training.
Qualifications
Relevant experience :
1 to 5 years experience in computer science or any other field deemed relevant.
- Experience with administration: GNU / Linux server, Windows server (an asset) and networking concepts (NAT, Proxy, TCP / IP, etc.)
- Experience with cloud infrastructures (AWS, Google, Azure, etc.) an asset
- Experience with Configuration Management such as Chef, Bershelf, Puppet, etc.
- Experience working with a large scale infrastructure
- Experience with RAID cards and their configurations
- Experience in customer service in the area of prevention and technical problem solving
- Experience in SCCM an asset

- Solid experience with Linux and Unix operating systems
- Experience with AWS, Chief and Cloud Training (an asset)
- Interest in video games (an asset)
