Ubisoft is seeking an experienced System and operation online specialist to join our project working on the operations of For Honor. The operation team is embedded in the game development team composed of tools and online programmers. The operation specialist will manage various online services and environments to maintain maximum availability and quality of the game’s ecosystem.

Summary
The selected candidate will be part of the For Honor Operation team working closely with game and tools developers to ensure proper functioning of various servers, tools and processes. This includes deployment automation, event monitoring and act as a 3rd level support for the game with 24/7 support.

Responsibilities
- Design, setup, deploy, monitor and maintain the hybrid environments for the team doing online micro services in the cloud and in our data center;
- Participate in the deployment of micro services and game servers that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing;
- Collaborate with the development teams to improve current processes and tools and define new ones;
- Maintain documentation regarding configurations, operations and troubleshooting procedures;
- Participate in the evaluation and integration of new technologies and best practices;
- Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications
Training
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent.
Relevant Experience
3+ years of experience in systems administration in a large environment with many different kind of servers.

Work-related Skills and Knowledge
- Expertise in Linux and Windows system administration;
- Excellent knowledge of scripting languages;
- Excellent knowledge of Internet technologies and concepts such as DNS, routing protocols, firewalls, proxies, TCP and UDP and higher level protocols such as HTTP is important;
- Knowledge of monitoring and centralized logging (ElasticStack) or similar is an asset.
- Ability to use or manage a wide variety of open source technologies, databases, tools and cloud services;
- Automation/configuration management/provisioning using tools like Chef, Salt, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, etc;
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations (ITIL) with always-available micro services in the context of continuous integration and continuous delivery;
- Awareness of new technologies and trends (like containers) is an asset.
