Software Engineer Intern, Developer Experience - EA Digital Platform (EADP)

What a Software Engineer Intern, Developer Experience does at EA:
This unique role will be perfect for an individual who is passionate about engineering ease of use and reducing friction in tech integration. The team will focus on building a product that unifies integrator onboarding and support and provides apps to optimize the entire game development and live game management life cycle. The team will also build a framework that enables shared services to provide the right experiences, tools, and documentation support to enable better integration.
Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer Intern will play a key role in developing tools and services to support the platform in providing a world class developer experience.
Typical activities include:
- Work on the development of web based applications in full stack capacity;
- Proof of concept/prototyping using a variety of scripting languages such as bash, perl, awk, python, javascript, etc.
Requirements:
- Working on BS with experience in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent). We are only considering students who will be enrolled in a bachelors program in the summer of 2020, slated to graduate in fall of 2020 or spring of 2021
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, and software design
- Familiarity with one or more of the following:
- Node.js and React and/or modern web frameworks;
- Javascript, Node.js, Typescript;
- Microservices architectures and distributed systems;
- Agile/Scrum based development environments;
- Linux based systems and cloud computing environments such as AWS.
- Some experience working with NoSQL and/or relational databases is a plus
- Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly dynamic fast-paced environment
- Great communication, time-management, and strong collaboration skills
