Your Mission
Welcome to Activision Mobile. We’re a new in-house studio, dedicated to developing the best AAA mobile games in the world. Our first project is a new AAA mobile title in the Call of Duty franchise, and we’re looking for great talent from mobile, console, and PC backgrounds passionate about their work, who share our belief in what AAA experiences on mobile can and should be. Player Profile
As a Studio Testing Lead, you will play a very important role in the production of the game since you will be managing a team that is the first line of defense for the title’s quality. You’ll work closely with developers to help your team test features in development and ensure that those features meet design requirements. You will be able to quickly help developers identify problem areas and validate that those problem areas are addressed.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate responsible test areas with internal staff and external testing groups
- Drive test development, estimation, planning, execution, reporting, and closure
- Deep involvement in developing/identifying appropriate tooling and hardware to support testing efforts
- Collaborate on and maintain all project-related internal test plans.
- Create accurate build verification reports and technical feature reports daily.
- Develop effective test plans to verify proper function, data content, performance, usability/playability, and hardware/software compatibility.
- Setup and maintain automation framework and processes
- Assists in forming and improving test processes and procedures.
- Supervise the test team daily to ensure rapid and accurate completion of tasks.
- Actively evaluates tester performance and works closely with them to alleviate any issues that arise.
- Drive the team towards both individual and team success.
- Participate in interviews and contributes to hiring decisions.
Qualifications:
Skills & Requirements
- Experience testing mobile software on the following platforms: Android, iOS
- 2+ years of experience leading a software testing team preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of free-to-play games is a plus.
- Experience building out and maintaining Test Automation framework and processes. Such as choosing automated testing tools or creating test processes.
- Familiar with defect tracking software such as Jira, Dev Track, etc…
- Familiarity with test case management software such as Testrail, Zephyr, etc…
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Charles, Postman, etc…
- Understanding of the test case creation process and implementation.
- Familiarity with agile development
- Experience writing documentation via Confluence.
- Proactive.
- Strong Communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Bonus Points (Not Required)
- Dabbled in some programming and can interpret code. Not necessarily an engineer but at least know enough to hold your own.
- You are steadfast and efficient in your pursuit of bugs.
- You understand the tools of the trade and your process is impeccable.
- The thought of picking something apart to see how it works gets you excited.
