What you do:
Using your insights into the evolution of the games industry, be a driving force to make Ubisoft Düsseldorf a leader of game development and operation in the group and the industry.
Role in Ubisoft Düsseldorf
- You are the directly responsible for all games developed at Ubisoft Düsseldorf. The producers of our lead games, the lead of our VR unit and the Codev Director report to you.
- You are responsible for creating and implementing the production philosophy to ensure that Ubisoft Düsseldorf will successfully deliver on projects efficiently, while maximizing the quality targets.
- You are a member of the Ubisoft Düsseldorf Board
- You report to the Managing Director
Role in the German studio network / Ubisoft Blue Byte
- You are a member of the Ubisoft Blue Byte Board of Directors and support the strategic evolution of all German studios
- Production Responsibilities
- Work with producers and teams to ensure all games are developed and operated at an excellent level in terms of quality and profitability
- Act with a game P&L mindset
- Define the best production processes and methods to reach the product and studio goals
- Conduct production audits and act upon the results
- Work closely with business & platform teams
- Be a driving force to create the game operation team of the future, incorporating production, operation and business mindset and responsibility
- As part of the Ubisoft Düsseldorf Board, shape the studio portfolio of the future
- Identify the right platforms and business models
- Work closely with Ubisoft HQ and studios to identify opportunities
- Be a major driver in the process to identify the best products for the future and initiate their development (prototyping, selection, pitching, core team creation)
Studio Strategy
- Maintain and develop business relationships with internal and external partners
- Work with current and Identify future strategic partners within the Ubisoft network and create long-term relationships with them
- Be a strategic partner to HR to support the career evolution of Düsseldorf’s Development staff and help to determine how make our employees fit for the future keeping in mind our strategic product portfolio
- Work as a strategic consultant for the operations teams regarding development related challenges
- Work with MD and Operations Director to determine best practices across the studio and across the German studio network
- Bring synergies between German studios to life
Qualifications
- Degree in Project Management/Administration or equivalent industry experience
- Expert knowledge of project management methods in game development
- Shipped multiple AAA games
- The ability to collaborate with and flexibly create and modify workloads for multiple teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent self-organization and self-motivation abilities
- Passion for games and strong knowledge of the gaming industry
