Studio Manager

Our Dublin Studio is now on the lookout for a Studio Manager to take on operational, finance, legal, HR and leadership duties. The studio consists of high-performing Cinematic Artists, Animators, Scripters, Writers, Programmers, Producers, Recruiters, and a Publishing team who are super passionate about delivering amazing RPG experiences for players.
As an operations studio manager, you will be part of the studio management team, reporting to the Group management. The Dublin studio management team consists of a working studio head whose scope of responsibilities is broad and requires inclusion of another member into the management. Both studio managers will support each other in delivering a studio wide approach to ensure team members can focus on building best in class games. Each of the studio managers will have a focus on a defined area of studio life and at the same time should be able to take over each other's tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operational Management of the studio
- Being in charge of local finance and legal management of the studio, in close collaboration with the Group finance and legal department
- Being in charge of the budgets & forecasts and its variances analysis and report to the studio management and Group management
- Provide HR support to the studio
- Mentorship and coaching of staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and career development
- Recruit, interview, select and hire the appropriate number of employees based on the growth plan
- Actively monitor and contribute into the development of local remuneration packages in line with local market trends while in consideration of the global framework
- Liaise with local authorities to ensure the studio is always in line with local laws and regulations
- Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting, finance and cross-departmental processes and procedures and assist the associated implementation and features to enhance the workflow
- Closely cooperate and communicate transparently with the headquarters and other studio managers
- Mature conflict resolution
Requirements
- 5+ years experience working in an operational management role in Games Industry or Tech industry in Ireland
- Being analytical, structured and IT minded
- Ability to work independently and in team
- Excellent problem-solving skills (detection, solutions, optimization)
- Ability to stick to time constraints
- Being dynamic, loving challenges and wanting to evolve in a fast-growing company
- Financial analytical skills with experience of managing large and complex data sets
- Robust experience in Excel & Google Sheets
- Leadership experience working with diverse and international teams
- Player and People-focused
- Passionate about games and RPGs
