We are looking for a Studio IT Site Administrator to join our Guildford studio to work with our team to create cutting-edge solutions. This individual will be critical to the Studio’s success as we expand the infrastructure backing the site and support a team of world-class developers.
The purpose of this role is to support users and infrastructure across our European offices in order to make sure that our technology runs smoothly and efficiently, delivering a high level of service for our end users. This will include hands-on support, installation, upgrades, and maintenance of desktop hardware, as well as direct support for cutting edge bespoke demo, education, and presentation environments. In addition to the hands-on elements, IT policies and procedures will need to be defined and documented to ensure consistency throughout the group.
Delivering Epic Games’ vision and growth:
- Assist with group and local projects to help the business move forward, maintaining excellent communications with all stakeholders on all tasks and projects
- Research and recommend new technologies, equipment and services to purchase, fully testing and documenting the systems that we put into place
- Install and test computers and related network hardware in a LAN/WAN environment
Deliver the best (internal and external) client experiences:
- Manage and maintain Epic’s fleet of devices
- Assist in developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures
- Create and maintain good user instructions for all applications and processes
- Train users on new software and solutions
Deliver the best People experiences:
- Provide outstanding 1st and 2nd line IT support to users across the organization
- Provide emergency or pre-planned out of hours support when required
- Perform ad hoc IT-related duties as assigned by your manager
- Work seamlessly with your local and global IT colleagues, collaboratively solving problems as they arise
You'll Bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in IT
- Proven experience of working in a windows server/client environment
- Good knowledge of IT systems and hardware maintenance
- Understanding of best practices and administration of Active Directory, OKTA, Google GSuite, JIRA/Confluence, or Perforce
- Proficient in using and supporting Source Control tools (Perforce and Git preferred)
- Understanding of IT protocols, including DNS, DHCP, SSH, HTTP
- Experience in both Mac and PC environments
- Experience of working in a busy, games studio environment, where creating relationships with the team is crucial
- Great communication and interpersonal skills whilst being incredibly organized
