With this role, we are looking for someone who has managed teams of various sizes, and skill sets, using a range of processes, as well as methodologies. Someone who is experienced with all phases of development from the concept of an idea, through its release and support strategy.

As part of a central process management group, you will be acting as a subject matter expert in both project management, as well as methodology management. You will be responsible to act as a coach, mentor, trainer for production teams and assist in navigating these teams through the turbulent aspects of process and tooling change management

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

· Establish, and grow relationships at the Game Team level including Game Team leadership, producers, and other key individuals

· Serve as a liaison or partner at the Game Team level as the teams go through process or tooling change management

· Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and coach to Game Teams for a variety of development Methodologies as well as Project Management skills

· Ensure all aspects of Game Team development from the first action in the concept phase through the final action in post release are identified and properly documented. Making sure the actions, roles, and responsibilities are understood by the Game Team in terms of what needs to be done, by who, and when for operations to run as expected

· Identify areas for improvement for team efficiency, performance, and quality based on analysis to be able to propose corrective actions

· Propose and supply teams with tooling and reporting to monitor team efficiencies and the effectiveness of process improvements

· Work with Game Team Producers to analyze production data; identifying opportunities to collect data for production reporting

· Utilizing your deep understanding of JIRA, work with Game Team producers to build projects, boards, workflows, and issues to facilitate communication, strengthen the process, and properly capture the information needed for operational analysis while keeping the overhead of managing tools to a minimum

· Provide proper risk assessment and suggest mitigation strategies accordingly and assist with any necessary follow through on identified action items

· Ensure Game Team documentation is sufficient and identify ways where standardization across Game Teams will provide appropriate benefits

· Perform Game Team retrospectives or Postmortems as needed. Included with these will be root cause analysis as well as identified corrective actions

· Share best practices from Game Team to Game Team and from Studio to Studio

· Perform cost benefit analysis with the Game Teams as applicable

· Must have a passion for building and growing relationships. A great communicator who understands the value of the right type of communication, at the right time, with the right medium

· Comfortable with change and change management. Enjoys turning chaos into order or structure

· A great eye for spotting process or tooling problems, but realizes the real skill is going through the steps to actually solve the problem

· The ability to navigate and influence within a matrix organization or structure

· Highly skilled at stakeholder management focusing on the needs of the customers, whether the customer is an Executive or a Game Team member

· Demonstrates a high level of written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable speaking in front of audiences of 1, to 101, and beyond

· Must be passionate about continuous learning. What’s the latest book you are reading? Is it about process or leadership? If the answer is yes, you’d fit right in

· Self-motivator who would rather provide their thoughts on what the next step should be, rather than be told what it is

· Challenges the status quo. A highly effective team doesn’t get there by saying it’s okay, to be okay

· Understands process methodologies are simply tools used to help in solving problems

· Recognizes the need and value to use data to assist in making production related decisions

Requirements

· 8+ years project management experience working with or leading cross-functional teams of various sizes

· 8+ years in IT or video game development (Mobile is a plus)

· Experience working with or for a Project Management Organization (PMO) preferred

· Education requirement: University degree Bachelors or equivalent professional experience

· Demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication across all levels and organizations

· Experience in various project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile

· Certifications such as CSM and PMI or Six Sigma are prefe
