Studio Coordinator (Contract position)

Do you thrive on juggling tasks and dodging curveballs, all while keeping a positive attitude? If so, Sago Mini wants to hear from you. We’re looking for a dynamic Studio Coordinator to maintain the culture and operations of our office. You’ll need to excel at organization & detail, have strong problem solving abilities, and care deeply about solving people-centric problems. You’ll be the go-to person for all things related to running the studio and will support our app, toys and marketing teams in the day-to-day. You’re outgoing and someone who thrives in an ever-changing and sometimes chaotic environment.
What you will be doing:
Maintain and run day-to-day operations of studio
Be the face of Sago Mini for all visitors and customers; in-person, Slack or by phone
Liaise and manage vendors and external partners while working with Sr. Studio Manager on finding cost effective ways to run studio and team events
Oversee payments, purchasing and expensing of supplies
Solve people-centric problems on a daily basis
Requirements:
You have 2+ years experience working in a fast-paced environment with 75+ people.
You are an outstanding communicator with strong people skills.
You’re highly organized, resourceful and have a track record of getting stuff done.
You’re a self-starter; r eliable, adaptable and a problem-solver.
You can multi-task with minimal direction while adhering to tight deadlines.
You’re highly intuitive, reliable, empathetic and resourceful.
You are a natural born people person; you ask the why, what and who, behind anyone you meet.
We consider it a bonus if you’ve worked in the service industry, in a creative or event planning agency or in tv/film production.
A Day with Sago Mini
You start your day ensuring both offices have supplies and manage in-person and Slack requests from the team. Then you respond to customer support emails and ship packages to our Super Fans. You check-in with play designers to see what’s required for the in-studio play testing session and then greet parents and kids. Then you sort through the pile of receipts that was left on your desk and enter into a spreadsheet. You negotiate with vendor and submit order for next week’s team lunch. Then draft the monthly newsletter. Finally end the day preparing a checklist for tomorrow and expect it to change.
