Strategy Principal - contract (2 months from mid April)

Here at ustwo, we’re renowned for crafting amazing digital experiences for our roster of international clients and partners; we build products and services with users at the very heart of our approach. We also help our clients to change their digital culture and boost their capabilities.

We’re committed to making a measurable, positive impact on people's everyday lives. We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity. We believe diverse teams help us make better products and services, and we actively hire for cultural growth. We welcome people of all ages, genders, ethnicity and races, with their own unique stories and backgrounds.

We are looking for a Strategy Principal role on a two-month project where we are working with one of our key Financial Services clients in delivering an improved end-to-end journey for their core audience. This is a critical, revenue-generating part of their platform, and you will be responsible for defining the business goals and mapping their market landscape to uncover opportunity areas on and off platform.

You will need to understand what the value drivers are, how to measure success and ROI, and how to identify when corrective action might need to be taken - both in the short term, but most importantly long-term for and by our client. You will work closely with a team consisting of a Design Principal, a Lead Product Designer, a Delivery Coach and a Client Partner. The initial 8-week phase will include secondary and primary research, workshops and creation of recommendations, identification of opportunity areas, and definition of success criteria and measurement framework.

As a Strategy Principal at ustwo you are key to ensuring that the work we do results in us shipping something that is commercially viable, meets key business objectives, and represents the optimal value we can possibly deliver in the time available. You bridge the gap between the business and design. You can lead and motivate a cross-functional project team. You proactively look to move our client relationships, practice and studio forward. You feel as confident in making tough decisions and calling out issues on UX, design and build quality as you do setting expectations and managing stakeholders.

As a successful Strategy Principal, you’ll know when and where to seek out information, you’re comfortable with data and analytics, you are a good negotiator and will set teams up for success by giving a clear direction and priorities. You’ll facilitate constant communication and bring clarity to the team, the client and ustwo leadership.

You have experience with the following:

Leading teams

You inspire and educate people and teams (including the client) of all levels and abilities, around getting the right product to market.

Focussing on value creation

Experienced at applying frameworks to organisational and business challenges and can clearly explain your rationale for the methods used.

Helping others to succeed

Have a history of developing people and teams and have stories of your ability to identify and unlock the potential in others. It’s something you get great pleasure from.

Are a natural storyteller

You’re able to explain decisions as well as articulate concepts and ideas in a persuasive manner for our clients and our teams alike.

Are commercially astute

Able to identify and influence new opportunities to grow products and projects. You can empathise with, and speak to, the client’s and ustwo commercial considerations.

Market awareness

You know where the bar is set, what clients are looking for and where product teams need to be aiming, drawing inspiration from outside.

Drive agile methodologies

Together with the Delivery Coach you will drive the team using Agile methodologies to deliver the user and business value.

An individual who will effortlessly uphold, maintain, encourage and live the ustwo Values in all your day to day work, behaviours and actions.

You will bring energy, passion and optimism to your role and you will ensure that you and those around you Enjoy the Journey .

ustwo is committed to making a measurable positive impact on people’s everyday lives. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
