The opportunity:
Reporting to the District Manager, you'll manage retail operations at our Hillsdale Mall location in San Mateo. From overall customer satisfaction to P&L, you'll hire and train your team and lead the launch of your store location.
Here’s how you’ll make a huge impact:
- Delivering an Incredible Guest Experience: You'll oversee the guest experience in your store, leading and training your team to provide a high caliber guest experience to each customer. This includes streamlining operational processes to ensure we're delivering a memorable experience for our guests at your location.
- Maximizing Store Profitability: You'll be in charge of your P&L and will think of creative ways to promote healthy revenue growth and sustainable expense controls. You'll also create local marketing programs for your location, to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Developing Store Staff: You'll oversee the life-cycle of all your employees-- from interviewing, hiring, and training, to employee development and offboarding — building an outstanding team from the ground up.
- Supporting Corporate Projects: You’ll assist company leadership with ad-hoc projects and other administrative/operational projects that might arise in a fast-growing startup company.
But enough about us! Let’s talk about you:
- Your background includes delivering an exceptional customer experience in a retail, hospitality, or customer service setting, with 4+ years of management experience.
- You have a successful track record developing and training employees and teams in a customer-focused retail setting, and know how to inspire and influence a team around customer satisfaction.
- Your track record includes meeting (or exceeding) operational and financial targets, and you're always trying to improve —setting and reaching goals of your own.
- You sweat the details, understanding that little things can matter when bringing something new to the world. You notice when something isn't right and you collaborate with your team to fix it.
- You're quick to pick up new technology, and have experience troubleshooting different technical systems and computer software.
- Because this is a retail position, you’re comfortable standing and walking around for long periods of time. You’ll also occasionally bend, lift up to 50 lbs, or climb up stairs.
