JOB DESCRIPTION
Blade has started its global deployment!
With 5 datacenters (and soon even more) running on 2 continents (EU and US) with over 30 PB’s of block storage, Blade is looking for a talented and motivated Storage Engineer for its Infrastructure Engineering team.
Your main responsibilities will include to:
- Setup of several PB’s of block storage
- Ensure its maintainability, stability and scalability
- Be proactive to test and suggest new architectures and / or new technologies to optimize our performance and reduce our latency
- Work closely with the other departments such as Development, Marketing, Support
Qualifications:
Education and Background:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- +3 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluency in English
Technical Skills:
- Distributed and replicated block storage over the network solution (SDS)
- Linux and its common services
- Boot over the network (DHCP/PXE)
- Virtualization with Qemu/KVM or Xen of Windows guests
- TCP/IP debugging
- System and network troubleshooting
- Python
- Knowledge in ZFS, FreeBSD or Ceph would be a plus
Soft skills:
- Found of technology watch
- Strong communication skills
- Autonomous
