Senior Software Engineer - Game Delivery Tools

Riot Engineers bring their knowledge of specific technical areas but also value the chance to work in many of broader domains. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead without authority and provide other engineers with a clear illustration of extraordinary engineering.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Game Delivery Tools team you will author, and support the back-end micro-services that provide the business logic for game teams to manage their Riot Cloud Services tenancy (the "Player Platform") into a unified self service portal for game teams. You will report to the team's Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop distributed and scalable systems in Golang.
• Create and publish technical designs for medium to large features and socialize them with your team and partners and customers, capturing and combining feedback, and iterating this process
• Work directly with all technical customers and develop customer-centric solutions as primary product offerings
• Become the lead expert for internal and partner extranet website development
• Collaborate with international teams and help them use our systems to their fullest potential

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role
• 2+ years experience with distributed systems
• Expertise in Python, Java, Golang or similar language
• Familiarity with "Infrastructure as Code" and tooling like Terraform, Docker and Jenkins

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with modern processes and technologies for back end stacks, tooling, and build / deploy automation
• Experience building planetary-scale websites and apps
• Familiarity with "Infrastructure as Code" and tooling like Terraform, Docker and Jenkins
• Familiarity with Cloud Platform providers like AWS or GCP
