What will you do at GreenPark Sports as a Staff Software Engineer?
- Guide all teams to ship agile and lean. Prioritize, adjust, and iterate systematically.
- Develop and push best practices in coding, documentation, testing and collaboration across the entire engineering organization
- Deep dive into ambiguous areas to create clarity and drive execution
- Identify gaps and opportunities to improve overall innovation, operational and engineering efficiency before they become a problem
- Drive roadmap, provide architectural guidance and mentorship to up-level the engineering organization
- Provide technical leadership and foster collaboration
- Lead the research, analysis, design, and recommendation of technical approaches for solving challenging and complex development and integration problems
- Be a leader to others on the team and act a resource for others when they encounter problems, get stuck, need help, or are genuinely curious about something you have knowledge about
You may be a fit for this role if:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working with the Go programming language in a production environment
- 8+ years of experience designing and engineering large-scale systems
- Proven experience working cross-functionally and earning trust from co-workers at all levels
- Experience with microservice architecture, serverless, and event-driven paradigm
- Able to thrive working with a remote team in multiple locations across multiple time zones
- Comfortable and experienced guiding and coaching individuals to improve their skills
