Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Staff Data Engineer in San Francisco, CA to develop solutions, designs and code for performance, scalability, and resiliency. Requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems, or related field or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience architecting, developing and enhancing software solutions, data activation, metric reporting and end-to-end experimentation platforms and frameworks. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience building real time, efficient and highly scalable application programming interfaces (APIs) to support applications in production; writing and executing unit, integration, and functional tests; utilizing extract, transform, and load (ETL) frameworks, Apache Spark, Scala and Python to build high scale, distributed systems and solve scalability issues; building server-side programs and data pipelines to import, process and aggregate data sources and provide analysis results to end-users; building big data processing pipelines within MapReduce frameworks and loading data into Hive distributed systems; utilizing time series databases to build analytics engines to generate statistics analysis; and building web applications using REST APIs to perform CRUD operations for data tools. At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$165,300 — $249,900 USD
