Discord’s admin team is expanding with a brand new role: Staff Administrative Coordinator. We’ll get to the straight talk: this is an experimental role. Up until now, we’ve focused on providing white-glove service to our senior leaders. As we’ve grown we’ve found that our teams could use some help, too! The scope of the role will likely evolve as we get 1-2 new folks in to test the waters and provide feedback, but the main goal will always be the same - provide world-class support to 2-3 teams within Discord’s ecosystem.

This role is perfect for anyone with a tenacious spirit looking to get into the admin world. We highly encourage folks from a wide range of backgrounds to apply!

What You'll Be Doing

Proactively manage communication, and respond to urgent inquiries from internal / external stakeholders on the teams’ behalf
Operate with exceptional attention to detail. Anticipate potential changes or shifts in priorities amidst simultaneous demands for attention
Own the life cycle of team-wide meetings
Help the team keep their onboarding and other intranet information up to date
Prescribe and implement new solutions to support efficient ways of working and daily operations
Contribute to the team’s cultural development through event planning and team-building
Learn the ins and outs of how the team operates - this would be a great growth opportunity

You'll Thrive In This Role If...

Extraordinary communication skills, both written and verbal
Extraordinary project management skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Critical thinking skills to help your executives manage their time in the most efficient + effective manner
Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities and projects with strong follow through
High level of confidentiality, discernment and judgment
Experience with Asana, Notion, and Ally (or similar products)
Excellent GSuite Skills - specifically Calendar and GMail
2+ years work experience in an administrative support role, particularly within an engineering org
