We are looking for a Manager, International Accounting International to join our Accounting & Finance Team. This is a full-time role on a hybrid schedule in our San Mateo office. The Manager, International Accounting reports to the Assistant Controller and is a key contributor to the monthly close process and accounting procedures with focus on non-US accounting operations.
You Will:
- Oversee non-US accounting operations across several jurisdictions, including monthly close cycle, review of/record global subsidiary financial reports, compliance deadlines, and statutory audits.
- Manage the monthly close process of all subsidiaries, which includes recording and reviewing journal entries for international subsidiaries, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and researching fluxes.
- If applicable, coordinate with foreign entities' accountants for monthly financial reporting and operational activities.
- Manage transfer pricing calculations, relevant inter-company entries and support international tax structure compliance.
- Guide ad hoc projects such as international acquisitions and global expansion.
- Coordinate internal and external audit and tax requests including preparation of supporting reports and documentation.
- Perform SOX internal controls over assigned areas.
- Develop solutions for process improvement.
- Help with accounting integration activities, which includes implementing a variety of finance and accounting related software solutions.
- Help develop and implement new accounting procedures.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance (or related degree).
- 5+ years of accounting experience; Big 4 or professional services background and CPA is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (can perform complex functions).
- Experience using Netsuite is helpful.
- Uses communication and prioritizes tasks to meet team goals and deadlines.
- Willingness to contribute beyond the defined role to meet our needs as circumstances require.
- Experience in identifying process improvements and efficiencies.
- An eye for detail; you triple check your work to ensure accuracy of accounting records.
