About the Role

Our World app is a hugely successful subscription service that combines our entire collection of 40+ apps into one. Used by more than a million children each month the app features award-winning, high-quality content that engages creative play and exploration. - Research and design what is possible and figure out how to actually build it.
- This is not a gameplay programmer role so your focus will be on non-gameplay features.
- Work on all things related to our IAP subscription system.
- Create tools that help the team stay productive.
- Support app releases, many of them, across multiple platforms, handling all of the little details that go into making a successful release.
Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong OOP skills and proficiency with C#.
- Deep understanding of how to use Unity to create cross-platform mobile apps.
- Past experience leading projects and you enjoy coaching other developers.
- Experience or an interest in writing native plug-ins for iOS or Android.
- Familiar with building apps that use IAPs; both local and server-side receipt validation.
- A love for architecting systems. Able to break down complicated tasks into distinct solvable components, prioritize what is important, and provide accurate time estimates.
- Iterate quickly, and write clear and reusable code.
- A degree in computer science/engineering or a resume full of practical experience.
You’ll love working here if you
- Like working on products that you can be proud of.
- Take ownership and thrive in a fast-paced, agile, product development environment.
- Are able to work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and artists.
- A deep appreciation of the details that take an experience from good enough to great.
About the Process
- You’ll get an email response confirming we’ve received your application, and we’ll let you know within a week if we’d like to schedule a follow-up.
- If you’re moving ahead, we’ll book a call to learn more about your experience. Then we’ll send you a short homework assignment to get a better feel for your skillset.
- If the assignment goes well, we’ll book a technical interview to discuss your homework assignment and other technical questions.
- If the technical interview goes well, we have a last interview with your potential teammates who will dive deeper in your past experience.
We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
